If you find that your period is late, your breast are enlarged and sore, and you feel nausea, you could be pregnant. The sooner you know if you are pregnant, the more time you have to make a responsible decision within the early stages of the pregnancy.
Women find that deciding if abortion is the right choice can be a difficult decision. Each woman’s situation is different and only she will know what is best for her. It is important to know the facts and what happens during the procedure before making a life-altering decision. At Women’s Center of Flint and Saginaw, we are here to help. The earliest abortion option can take place as early as 4 weeks following the first day of your last menstrual period.
Many patients prefer to end their pregnancy as soon as possible.
Non-surgical medical abortion, the abortion pill, is a safe way to end a pregnancy if you are 10 weeks pregnant or less. Many people choose this abortion method because it feels more natural and can be done in the privacy of your home.
A surgical abortion can be performed within 4-17 weeks of pregnancy. This process requires dilation and evacuation, a 2 day procedure, involving insertion of a dilator on day one and the actual abortion on day two.
An initial consultation with one of our clinicians can occur in person or, for your convenience, by phone. An appointment can be scheduled as soon as the State of Michigan 24 hour mandate is satisfied.
